With his tall stature, generous heart, and baritone laugh, John was larger than life. He was someone I looked up to both physically and spiritually. He made time to answer my theological questions and managed to explain a paradox and make it understandable. He has left an indelible print on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
What sad news to wake up to, reading of the passing of John.
Going back nearly thirty years, I walked into the offices of Pacific Monarch Ltd. in Santa Cruz and met John. He believed in me and got me licensed and trained to drive for them. I enjoyed many years working for John, one of the best men I’ve worked for.
I’m grateful for John for hiring me as Pacific Monarch’s part time accountant/bookkeeper at a time in my life when I was at a transition and going through difficult times. Spent many years working with John starting in Hollister and then traveling to his new facility in Marina. He was a very astute business man, caring employer and loved his savior and family. He will be greatly missed.
