I am sad to learn of  the death of John Hasty. While he was Director of the Department of Health Professions, I had the privilege of serving as Executive Director for the Virginia Board of Nusing.   Under his leadership the Department attained much of its potential and his commitment to assist impaired practitioners led to assistance to many of the licensees of the Department.
