My sincere condolences to John's family. He was a Hall of Fame member of the Greatest Generation. When I was in grade school in the late fifties and early sixties John was my barber. He also volunteered as a P.E. coach at Holy Cross where he taught me how to box. I recall seeing him walking every day on the west side of town, staying in shape. He was a wonderful role model...Lee Thoma
Dear Kathy and Colleen,
So sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad (and my godfather). He was a true “one of a kind” and amazing guy. So many fond memories.
Condolences,
Alan Muttersbach
I'm sorry to hear of John's passing. He was with the UCSC police when I was a student in the 1970s, and I enjoyed talking with him about law enforcement. He even lent me books on the subject. A very nice man... kind and sweet. Coincidentally, he was born and died in the same years as my mother. Condolences... Donna Maurillo
