Dear friend of mine who I met in the 80's through Boy Scout activities. He was tireless in his dedication to helping his fellow human beings but suffered no fools and never fell short in identifying one. He was like an Uncle to me offering stories, advice and opinions with a rare hint of political foul ball which I ignored, mostly. Say Hi to Bill my friend and stir the pot till I get there
Jack was the kind of man others should learn from. A man of service, he always looked for the right road to take, not the easy one. Between Scouting, picking up shipments for the food bank, and other activities, he tried to make the world a better place - and did, even while suffering himself. He was a friend to my Dad, and later on, me and my sons - and he made a difference.
Jack, you are always a father figure to me growing up. Thanks for all the wonderful trips and your time. I miss you dearly and carry the scouting spirit like you do. Say hi to Uncle Bill too. Love you always
