John will be forever missed by many for the generosity of his love and friendship. Our friendship --really "brotherhood" -- spanned a time of 54 years. I will always cherish the gifts of his time, talents, intellect, humor, and love for artistic achievement and expression. He will be held closely in my thoughts and in my heart forever.
I can only remember John as the sweet, fun, kind man he was, whether we were at work or talking about music or cooking, or whatever else. I am heartbroken that I won't have another chance to chat with him about what he has been listening to lately; I know he is missed by all who loved him and knew him. The photo is from a Children's Trust toy drive-John bringing his positive energy.
Evan, Jeffrey, Margo, Marsha, Marisa, and Lisa, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember John well from our childhood growing up together on Abbott Ave. John came by my family home one evening, while my mother was still living there, and began shoveling the snow off the back walk, in the dark! What a kind man. Marie Antonioni Sunder
Heartbreaking news - the world is far less complete without John. As a colleague and a friend, John's altruism and lifelong curiosity for the world around him made us all better when in his company. I will deeply miss engaging about music, literature, travel, adventure, and more. Such a good man who was incredibly proud of both of his boys. May his kindness and curiosity survive him.
John was beautiful, in every way. There was never a more caring, loving, empathic person. And he was smart and funny. He loved you two boys, knowing John meant knowing what Evan and Jeffrey were up to. Sending you all love and support.
