John was such a kind person and a very intelligent and knowledgeable pharmacist! When he closed his store downtown, it left a void of a favorite place for meds, cards and gifts.
After John retired, it was always a pleasure to run into him either around town or at St. Michael Church. We enjoyed talking with him and he always brought us up to date on how his family was doing. It was obvious how much he loved and adored his family.
We were very sorry to learn about John’s passing. May he Rest In Peace with our Lord in Heaven. We lost a great person here on earth. May the pain of your loss be replaced with a smile and warmth in your hearts when remembering John.
Sincerely,
Maureen & Jim Volponi
We are sorry for your loss. He was a kind soul.
I was a teenager when I worked for John at Duartes Pharmacy on main street and second street. I learned so much from him and his kindness knew no bounds. He once went on a trip I think to India and brought everyone at the store a gift. Mine was a crystal red necklace, I still have it and wear it often. Reminds me of the wonderful person he was. RIP
