This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Joel Connolly, who passed away on April 19th, 2019. We will remember him forever.
I have known Mr. Connolly (most of us at Varian called him “Joel”) for almost 38 years. In my associations, I found him to be a prince of a guy. His dedication, enthusiasm and charisma made him a valued member of the team. He could be counted on to go the extra mile in accomplishing his assigned tasks.
On a personal level, I enjoyed his wide range of stories about the “good old days” and his great enjoyment in restoring Corvettes. There was no subject too small for him to share his often humorous opinions.
Like most of his Varian colleagues, I will treasure the times we shared and remember how he would usually find a silver lining in the darkest clouds.
