I remember very well Dr. Baldwin when she was associated
with Cary St. Veterinary Hosp.--and was in practice with
Dr. John Morgan. Dr. Baldwin was very kind and caring--
-great empathy with my pet. My sympathy for her loss.
My husband and I met Doc when she "approved" us to be parents to one of her new puppies, Lola. Three years later she entrusted one of her own dogs, Star, to join our family, bringing much joy and happiness to us. She became a dear friend because of her kindness, sharing advice, her knowledge, generous nature. and sense of humor. Our prayers and sympathy go out to Pearl and Doc's family.
Doc was a generous Havanese/Havana Silk voice available either in person or via telephone/email to me as I sought knowledge about my Lilli. A strong intelligent woman devoted to our furbabies. A loss for us all.
I am so sorry Doc is no longer with us. There was no one more caring and generous than she. I bet there were a lot of happy puppies to meet her when she got to rainbow bridge. I'll never forget you, Doc, and all you did for my mom. Rest In Peace.
My wife and I first met Doc at Cardinal Animal Hospital. We were looking for a small dog and Doc invited us over to see one of her Silks. We arrived and she had brought her 9 silks for us to see, pet, and love on. All the while educating us on this wonderful breed. And she recommended a wonderful breeder from whom we got out first Silk - Bailey. We will miss you Doc - Rest in Peace.
Dr. Baldwin took care of my beloved Nicholas the Wonder Poodle in the last years of his life. She took care of my cats. We loved her compassion and care at Cardinal Animal Hospital. Amazing woman and Vet.

So sad to hear about doc,she was our vet at Cardinal animal clinic. She was with us when we had to put down our 9 month old peke. We went out and bought two more dogs the next day. She was wonderful to them and to us. She was a wonderful person and will be missed greatly. Prayers for her family. Terry & Bob Young
I began working with Doc at Cardinal Animal Hospital in 2011. She was a remarkable woman and a true advocate for animals of all types. As my wife, Micki and I got to know Doc on a more personal level, we became good friends. She will be truly missed but I know she is in God's hands now.Our deepest sympathies go out to her mother, Pearl and her family. You are all in our thoughts & prayers.
I am so sorry that this news came to me so late. I had been Joanne's hairstylist since she practiced in Carytown and I had a little salon on Strawberry St.. She followed me until her last haircut in Dec. 2016. I even had the joy of having her beautiful mother as a client and she was excited about celebrating her 100th birthday. Joanne and her doggie "tails" will be missed by all.
