Miss Ford was an inspiration to many and the most influential teacher who I remember fondly. Joan Ford is often in my thoughts when I look back on my elementary years at Proctor School.  May she Rest In Peace.

Miss Ford was a remarkable teacher and I was fortunate to have her twice in both 4th-grade and 6th. She brought adventure into the classroom with her geography units from her travels abroad, and music into the classroom with her playing the piano and teaching us songs. Of all my teachers in elementary school, she was by far the best. May she rest in peace.
