I worked as Jerry's assistant at the courthouse in Owatonna back in the 70's.   After the first week I was there, he figured out I wasn't much of a secretary.  I'll never forget his patience with my messy typing errors, many corrections and bad spelling.  He was one of the "good guys" and I'm so terribly sorry to hear that he has passed.  Please accept my heartfelt  sympathy.
