Even Elvis refused to go on stage after his set! All who visit here are allowed to shed a brief tear; but then let the good times roll! That would be his wish!
Now we bid adieu to one of the most psychedelic dudes to have ever graced the planet. Our dad, Jerry Westlund. He was a great American and a damn fine Republican. It's a shame he's checked out; but the memory of his wit lives on! May the booze be plentiful, the lakes be calm and the fishing bountiful, Dad!!!
My Dad taught me so many things. how to ride a bike, dance a waltz, or to play poker but more importantly how to be strong. How to be an independent thinker. He insisted when I would fall not only off my bike as a child, but in the debts of sorrow or hardship in life that I get back up, brush off & try again. He never hung up the phone without saying I love you. His last gift to me. Amen

There were many a time when we laughed, many times we disagreed, many times we shook our fists, many times embraced in a hug. There was an intelligence in you that I'd like to think passed to me via our shared genetics. I'm sure our stubbornness, penchant for alcohol fueled debauchery, slightly off kilter sense of humor, and ability to empathize, or relish in, the misfortune of others was.
