I had the privilege of briefly getting to know Jeff at the 2017 URISA GIS Leadership Academy in San Diego. I was struck by Jeff's confidence and passion for learning. His insight, sense of humor, and welcoming personality made a very positive impact on his classmates. Jeff encouraged and supported those around him and he will be dearly missed by the GIS community.
