Jean Persons would disapprove of this website! It's too busy and uses "Year of Passing." She liked "died." But we wanted to honor her, so here you are. The obituary has the short story. Two other versions are in the "Life" and "Stories" sections. To read about many more adventures and life in 1950's bush Alaska, find her book (or borrow it from Michele or Renee): From Dog Sleds to Float Planes: Alaskan Adventures in Medicine: True Stories of a Woman Physician. We hope visitors will consider adding stories, or sending them to one of us to post here.
