I knew Jan as a sister in law that never held back.  She was her own person and spoke her truth.   We shared good books, funny stories and advise.  She loved her kids and when grandkids came, her heart grew evermore!  No favorites, she loved each one for their own special ways.  Every time I see the actor, Sam Elliott, I will smile and think of Jan. My grandma Jan was the best grandmother I could have ever asked for. We shared the best conversations and the best laughs. She was the light of my life. I’ll never stop missing her.
