Jane was a big presence at Tucker Pavilion. She was positive and upbeat. She was a bright spot in our days. Her door was usually open and we were always welcome to enter. She always had a stash of candy to share. She was helpful, kind and funny. A huge loss for all who loved her and were blessed by knowing her. My prayers go out to her family and to her family of friends. Beth Kirwin

Mike, Joey, Matthew and James, Jane was a one in a million soul. Her
love for you all came through in every conversation we had. We are blessed beyond measure for having known her and will forever carry her in our hearts.
May God comfort and bless you during this very difficult time.
My deepest sympathy to the Cowherd family. Jane was a childhood friend of mine. We spent many hours of outside play using our imagination - before the internet. My prayers are with her family.

So very sorry to read about Jane passing away. Dennis and I were members of Three Chopt Presbyterian Church for many years and knew the Cowherd family well. They are wonderful people and we extend our sympathy to all of them.

Jane was an incredibly special woman. I think back on the three years I spent working with her and cannot recall a single moment when I didn't see her smiling and just being her warm, wonderful, sassy self. We shared a secret love of Cheetos and she always "covered" for me when she saw my hand in a bag of them when I was supposed to be watching my diet. My heart goes out to her family
My family moved to Richmond in 1971 and the Cowherd family lived across the street. They are all some of the finest people you will ever meet in your lifetime. Jane was always a kind and happy person. Although I have not seen her in years, I know she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Heaven gained a new angel.
