What can I say about Jimmy, Uncle James, Jim? He contributed a light touch in every setting. He was beloved by classmates everywhere. Jim seemed to collect people, and then they were his for life.
I will miss the Memorial Service for Jim, but I'll be thinking of Isabelle and the family on the 16th.
Jim was simply the best a man can be.
Jim was my favorite human! I first met Jim in Stonington when he started coming to do Pilates with me in 2005. We soon become such very good friends. We enjoyed great food, great drinks, conversations and great laughter. I was so very lucky to be with him to celebrate his 91st birthday! We ate, we drank, talked a lot and we laughed. I will deeply miss my friend and loved him so very much.
I met you as your sternman on a 6 week canoe trip when you were 13. Many years later you were my bridge from Washington, D.C. to Gaston, Snow where we partnered in the law and as Chestnut Hill neighbors experienced the vicissitudes of our parallel lives for many years. Although we lost touch over the last 36 years, you are part of the fabric of my life.May you rest in peace.
My deepest sympathy and condolences for Jim's family. In 2019 Jim wrote me an expressed his happiness that I was interested in writing a book about his grandfather. I am saddened that he wasn't able to see the finished work. The book was dedicated to Jim. Thank you Jim for your kind words. The book is available on Amazon.com titled "Moorfield."
