Jim was a distinguished leader within the Alaska Army National Guard of our specialized Airborne Reconnaissance detachment. He was the glue that held us together. He ensured the mission was accomplished while keeping our spirits strong and our pride stronger still. I take comfort in knowing he is in heaven now—the esprit de corps must be extraordinary as he reunites with his loved ones and his brothers-in-arms.
Jim, thank you for being a true friend, a steady leader, and a man we were proud to follow.
