So sad.  Geoff and I were in the same graduating class at HSU and shared an interest in raptor ecology.  From 1980-1994, when I lived in the East Bay, I had the pleasure to both work with Geoff and socialize on occasion.  I ran into him just a few years ago up at Lake Tahoe where we reminisced over a couple beers and bragged about our wives and children.  Geoff, you are missed my friend.
