I worked with Jim Springgate when he headed MEMC in Palo Alto, CA. He was the epitome of a strong, very intelligent and caring employer to look up to.  I always enjoyed his smile and casual manner when it came to interacting with his staff and employees.   Such a gentle gentleman.

Mickey's tribute is spot on!  I worked for Jim for 10 years and enjoyed every day!  He had such a great sense of humor too!  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Just wanted to leave a note to say I miss my dad.  The beginning of January is hard, as his birthday was the 3rd and anniversary is the 8th.  Thanks to everyone who reads this and remembers him.
