Jim was an amazing friend. He helped me so much in staying sober this time. My heart hurts. Sending prayers to his family.
Jim was a wonderful co-worker and friend. He loved animals and his family with all his heart. I will forever be grateful for getting to know him and will always remember his smile, quick wit, and “attitude” :) Prayers for his family during this difficult time and in the days to come.
I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Strangely, I was just thinking about him the other day. We were in graduate school together at UC Davis, which is a real bonding experience. He was such a refreshing person---funny, no "bull", without artifice. and great love of life. My heart goes out to his family.
I worked with him at MCL for 12 years. We were so close at one time then his struggles became too much for me to deal with. I wish I could have done more but it was his demons to battle. Such a genius lost too soon.
The Meekers were across-the-street neighbors back in childhood days. I remember Jim being kind enough to hang out with my younger brother sometimes. Being older by a few years, it was good of him to be supportive to a littler kid. Jim had an easy smile and a swagger about him – in the best possible way. He made me laugh with many of his FB posts. Marilyn & Ron, so sorry for his passing,
With fond memories I remember an early boyhood buddy with a great heart. RIP Jimmy
Marilyn and Ron,
I met Jim over 20 years ago at a Toxicology conference. Jim attended many CAT conferences, where we all enjoyed his company; fun followed Jim! I am very sorry to hear of his passing.
