I had the honor of knowing Jim for almost 50 years and working with him for 20 years.  Jim ran the underwriting side of Marine Insurance and I ran the loss side.  Together we tackled many tough issues, but we always made a profit by working as a team.  Jim was always a gentlemen, respected by his peers and competing underwriters.  I will miss him.
