Jack was my best friend for just over 50 years. Having met at Hobart College, he helped me soar through difficult science courses in which I was limping. His poetry was legendary.Jack and I traveled in Europe and shared our love of medicine. The most important event in Jack's life, by serendipity, was meeting and marrying Claire and watching their son Max flourish. Anthony Cabot, MD
