Irene Rodier’s life is an amazing history of loving support and care for her family, her community and many numbers of adults and children.  She was not only a wonderful mother to her sons and daughter but also to her adopted and foster children, grand children and great grand children.

Irene ‘s devotion to community was reflected by her volunteer work at her parish. Her professional work as a Family Child Care Educator for The Community Group began in the early 70’s as a provider of child care in her home.   Over the years she worked with TCG staff and area social workers to provide a program of loving home care that touched the lives of children in need of nurturing and protection. As a pioneer member of The Community Group’s Family Child Care System, Irene created a model that set a high standard for providing care that continues today in FCC homes throughout the  TCG system.

Irene Rodier was a beacon of light that shone on and transformed the lives of many. Her influence will reach far into the future as reflected in their  lives.
