I'm sorry to hear about this. Hugh and I were co-workers at Programart. He was kind, funny and a wonderful storyteller.

I mourn the passing of Hugh. He was a co-worker at MIT Draper Lab in designing the Apollo Guidance Computer. His brilliance was only exceeded by his gentle, warm persona and modesty. I am pleased there are family members who will keep his essence in their memories.

I only met Hugh the once, at my friend’s dinner party in Wales, but that one time was enough for me to know that I had met a very special person. His quiet unassuming manner hid the brilliance of the man, a hero of our time. His warmth and wit charmed all who were there and left a lasting impression on me, we should all strive to “be more Bear”. A gentleman in every sense of the word.
