We were privileged to have Gene with us on our Honor Flight Bay Area Flight #2.  Then I had Gene and several family members join me for a talk at an elementary school in Cupertino.  I'll never forget the students saying how excited they were to meet a "real live veteran".  When they asked Gene what he liked best about the service he said his discharge. An honor to have known this WWII vet!
