I met Mr. McGhee when my wife Elizabeth, daughter Kellie and I moved to Anchorage in 1994. We immediately became good friends as I realized he was a special man, a man's man, with a very caring heart. I will miss him, but I take solace in knowing that he is in heaven!
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all family and friends during this difficult time.
I remember Hank as an usher at Holy Family. He would take his van to Sunday mass, but not before he picked up the church librarian Doris Benson to give her a ride. He was a good neighbor here on East 23rd; Doris will be glad to see him. The last few years, when my wife had salmon from Chitna , he got one. Rest in Peace Hank. Sorry I missed your funeral mass.
Hank, my Dad’s cousin & Best Friend. You will forever be fondly remembered. With Love Jacqueline, Jordan & Elijah??
