So very sorry to hear of Helen's passing. She was such a fine southern lady.
In 1973 I became the principal of Doswell Elementary and she became my guide and mentor. I certainly would have struggled without her assistance and knowledge of the community and its people. The world was a better place because of her humor, patience and insightful intelligence.
