This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Grant Rodkey. We will remember him forever.
I have met many surgeons now in my 40 year surgical career. Dr. Rodkey ranks among the top two or three I have met. You knew he loved surgery and was knowledgeable. You also knew fro the first minute you met him that he cared for you as a colleague and as a human being. His only agenda was to do the right thing by patients and other co-workers no matter their rank.
Dr. Rodkey was a talented and compassionate surgeon. He was a stern teacher who emphasized meticulous attention to detail. Dr Rodkey used the 22 blade and cotton ligatures with authority and exceptional expertise. He lives on through his trainees and grateful patients.
