Grant was a beautiful soul. He married my college roommate and was godfather to my two children. I feel blessed to have had Grant in my life for these many decades. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He was especially fun to be with in years that the Bears won Big Game. Sending heartfelt condolences to Erin, Brian, Mark and Veronica and their children.
Today, 12/10/2021 we received the keys to the house that Grant passed to his children. I heard from his neighbor, Alan, that Grant was a huge California Golden Bears fan. I heard he was an attorney. I am also huge Cal Bears fan. Mechanical Engineering, class of 1971, BS, and 1972, MS. My sympathies and best wishes to Erin and Mark. Rest in peace, Mr Armstrong.
I worked with Grant in the early 80’s in San Jose. Just came across his passing and his sense of humor was what I remember the most. And the time I cracked him in the face with my racquet playing racquetball one day. He always reminded me of that in a joking way, even when we touched base 35 years later. I will miss those times. He was a special man.
