My sincere condolences on your loss.  While death is thought to be the natural course of things, the hope we have from God would indicate it is not final.  Acts 24:15 speaks of a resurrection for all and Revelation 21:4 says,"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." May you find comfort in this hope.
