upon receipt of the notice of Gloria's celebration, I reluctantly checked obits only to find that my dear friend of years waaaaay back passed away in October...altho we had not been in touch of late, my thoughts and prayers were with her in her journey thru difficulties along the way.

I had the pleasure of meeting Gloria and her two boys in Japan back in 1967-68 and so enjoyed this fabulous Mom and her delightful sons...since then and over the years, we have sporadically kept in touch.
...my sincere intention to visit her  was postponed.due to her most recent health problems.Gloria was SPECIAL!!

I am saddened by this news and hope her loved ones are healing from this loss. Gloria Mitchell was full of life – she emanated warmth and positive energy. She will be remembered for her compassion, kindness, and generosity.
