It's been 5 years and I just found out. I am heartbroken to find this out. So many memories flooding back to me. Playing pool, Steely Dan always reminds me of him. Wishing his family peace and sending my love to them.

I was completely unaware of Mebane‘s passing and it truly saddens me. We were engaged years ago when he lived in Pennsylvania. I last spoke with him maybe 10 years ago.
I have very fond memories of our times together. He was a sweet loving and extremely talented individual.
I am glad his music and poetry will live on.

Just found out me freshman hall ate, Hunt Hall 3rd floor has left us.  I’m sorry to heat this.  fond memories of hours hanginfpg out in his room listening to Steely Dan and his wonderful guitar playing.  Sharing that formative year of my life with such a great friend and influence on my life is cherished to this day.
