The American Osler Society would like to leave a word of condolence for Gert's family and a heartfelt tribute to his outstanding life and career. Gert was a longtime honorary member of the AOS and a true leader in the field of medical history. Gert was most kind to me on a visit to Baltimore in 2003 for research.
