As a newly minted social worker from the BC School of Social Work, I went to work at Catholic Charities.
Jerry took me under his wing to become my mentor then, and much later whenever our paths would gratefully
cross.He was forever compassionate, wise, gentle and inspiring. I will miss him greatly.   David Sheehan

Jerry was my neighbor for the past 6 years. He learned the names of each of my four children, even though they are Muslim names and difficult to pronounce, and he always took the time to stop and ask about them by name every time we met on his walks.
