I was so sorry to read this morning of Gerald's passing.  I have thought of him over the past year or so, and missed his frequent visits to the bookstore (where I work).  I always appreciated his bright smile, his intelligence, and his politics.  We shared a few interesting discussions.  The world was a better place because of people like Gerald.  May we carry on in his memory.
