Even though I was not related to him by blood, George always treated me like one of his own grandchildren. He encouraged my love for music, and bought me my first guitar. He always supported my dreams, big or small. His legacy lives on through the music and stories he shared with those he loved.
The first time I met George he was bleeding from a cut that needed stitches. He had come to the medical office of Robert Q. Lee, MD where I was working. We stitched him up. He was very talkative and interesting, as he was leaving and I was calling in the next patient he asked, in front of everyone, if I would go out with him. Short story is I did.
George and I met in our fifties, 28 years ago. We had a caring, loving and wonderful journey together. Always in my heart.
Love you, George.
