George was clearly loved by everyone everywhere he worked and played. He perfected his skiing to the envy of many. His loves were skiing, sailing and tennis; he was a true do-it-yourself man with a strong work ethic.
George was much loved for his steady demeanor, rock solid determination, and gentle caring ways. He will be sorely missed by the entire skiing community and a large circle of friends. His beautiful family will feel the bottomless hole he leaves.
George and Nancy kept their doors open to all and garnered lifelong friendships with their communities, many of whom took deep inspiration from George; a figure of good looks, a passionate and kind sportsman who never missed a day even in inclement weather.
A dedicated parent across five generations giving his time and attention to every child each weekend. He created a feeling of growing up in warmth, stability, and safety balanced with adventure.
George/Dad/Puppa has gone off into the cosmos making new friends, skiing new mountains and sailing new seas.
George grew up in poverty yet left this world with all he needed, in surplus.
George was deeply loved by the husbands of his three daughters.

George did not speak in superlatives, he embodied integrity. He drew satisfaction from constant work, taught his children and grandchildren while working in his shop. Beyond the physicality he brought to endeavors, he was a fastidious problem-solver fashioning solutions in various materials. He knew the power of simplicity, made meaningful impressions on others through supportive honesty.
"Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Or do without."

Profound in his simplicity.

With all his offspring he sang:
"Over in the meadow in an ity bity pool
Lived and old mother fishy and her little fishes three.
Swim said the mama fishy, swim if you can,
So they swam and they swam right over the dam."
While hiking, we would sing:
"I love to go a wandering along the mountain top
And as I go I love to sing, my backpack on my back..."
