I did not know Mr Bird but I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to his family. I know it's not easy to lose someone you love to death. We are promised that we will see our loved one's again. Acts 24 : 15, Psalms 37 : 29, Isaiah 25 verse 8 gives us more comfort for today and hope for the future. Just think how much God wants us to live forever and how much he loves us!

I met George Bird once or twice as I know his sister Susan Blanchard.  My deepest sympathies to his family.

May your family find peace in the words written in Revelation 21:4 where God promises death and pain will be done away with very soon.  John 5:28, 29 promises "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."
