Goodbye, Bob! You will surely be missed, so too your funny jokes and positive energy.

I didn’t know Bob that well, but what I will forever remember is his dedication and persistence to make their rescue dog, Zanna feel safe with him. Not everyone would have had that level of patience with her, but It certainly paid off. Rest In Peace Bob.

Bob was such a fun and funny person. Bob was always my greatest cheerleader when we worked together for 6 years. Bob and I had so many inside jokes. I feel like we shared the same sense of humor but he was so much funnier. Bob made "silly" cool. He was the full package: Smart, witty, sensitive and shrewd. He had a heart of gold. I've never known anyone like him and am certain I never will.

To the best brother, anyone could ever ask for. I had the pleasure of sharing a room with you for my first 13 years. Oh the fun we had! You were my idol, my protector, my mentor, and my friend! We will all miss you, and your humor, knowledge and kindness but we will always remember you. In our hearts forever.

Bob and I met in 1952, when he was 2 years old and I was 3.  We became instant best friends, and maintained our close friendship throughout his life.  I am so proud to have been his friend, and so devastated at his premature passing.  Rest in peace, my dear dear friend.  You've left a hole in all of our lives that will be difficult to fill.  I will cherish you always and love you forever.

Although we only shared few memories they were memories that I will never forget. May you rest in peace my friend knowing that you left a footprint that could never be filled.

Bob was my friend for 50 years. No one could ever say that he repressed his inner child. He was always full of life, laughter, and affection. Her made me laugh harder than anyone. I look out at my front deck and remember the time when I was building my house that he stopped by and picked up a hammer and away we worked, laughing between hammer blows. Viya con dios, amigo.

I met Bob on the same day I met my future husband, Chuck Patterson, 40 years ago. Since that time I have had the pleasure and privilege of witnessing Bob's sense of humor, kindness and deep connection to people.  Some of my fondest memories are of Bob's love for practical jokes, his love of music and his love of family. My life is richer for having him as a brother-in-law and friend.

Dear Bob,
You just wrote on my Facebook 8 days before you died how I inspired you for over 40 years. Wow so bizarre and now you left the building. I will remember your electric smile. How kind you were to me.  May you rest in love and peace brother. You followed right behind my mom. Love you

My Dear Friend.    I missed our luncheon date last week and will miss your smiling face, your kindness, and my Spartan football partner - the games will not be the same without you!    You have left a HUGE void in the Real Estate community.    May you Rest in Peace.

I grew up with Chuck and visited the Patterson home many times. Bob was always very tolerant of me and his little brother being pesky. Fast forward 50 years later when I returned to San Jose to expand our real estate business and Bob was absolutely instrumental in introducing me to the movers and shakers in San Jose real estate. What a great guy and I will be forever grateful to him.

I met Bob in the late 70’s when  we were young teachers assigned to Inverness School aka “The Country Club” (2 classrooms in a beautiful neighborhood). Bob’s brother Jim taught in the same district at the nearby West Marin School. “Those were the days”! Imagine 2 hilarious Patterson guys keeping everyone laughing and bringing out the best in all of us! Everything said above about dear Bob rings true.
The memories make my heart full although it is broken.

Cousin Bob,
Thank you for being so kind and welcoming. I will always remember and appreciate the time you took and the story you shared last year for my dad’s surprise birthday book…it was so funny and I am so glad to have had a chance to hear a bit about your days as kids. You will be missed!

Bob was a bright light in our world, and we need that. I loved his humor and kindness and easy laugh. When we all went to Hawaii he was really engaged with our young kids— so much fun. Rest In peace dear Bob. Our hearts are with the rest of the Patterson family.

You were my cousin, my friend and at times, my confidant. I will miss your friendship, your keen sense of humor, and your honest insights. May your continuing journey be all you want it to be. Last tag Cuz!

Our Wednesday golf outings at Blackberry Farms will not be the same without your corny jokes, 50's and 60's trivia, occasional bursts into song, and of course your enduring friendship.  Memories of the wonderful times we've had will endure, and we will golf-on in honor of you.

Bob, It has been a great pleasure to have known you.   You were one of the most positive, smart, loving individuals to be around.  Always engaging with a caring approach to how others were doing.  You deeply loved your family, and made us better for traveling the path together.

I hope I have the right person. I went to Inverness Elementary and Mr. Patterson was my teacher from second to third grade. He instilled I'm me my love of reading. He would read the class books and have a voice for each character. I wish I had the chance to thank him for how much he influenced my life.
