Pops was an awesome person, just as said in his obituary. I first met him at the Moose Lodge and instandly fell in like with him. Such a wonderful, kind, loving and generous person
Gary, you are missed already..RIP

When I was 21 and just starting in construction, your dad caught me bull shitting to him and gave me a stern but fair warning not to fuck with him, Me thinking I was a young stud ignored his advice, and basically gave him the finger. He proceeded to put my job site on lockdown with no water, I was screwed. After me getting in your pops face and him responding as only a select few probably have experienced, we became good friends and helped each other out for many years to follow.
Your Pops had a great influence on me and I learned a great lesson early on from him. If you give a person your word you better keep it! or don't give it.
So I will have shot or two of JD in his honor!

"Unc" I love you and miss you. The world was a better place with you in it. Thanks for teaching me to dive for Abalone, getting us to go to the Trinity. Having patience with us when we were young bucks. Being there when we needed you.

Love you! Miss you!
Uncle Gary - I will miss your laugh, your bear hugs and your kindness. You did things your way and we love you for it. Rest easy Unc, we love you.

wow where does a person begin.... Gary touched so many lives! i consider my self a very lucky person to have meant Gary. Never a dull moment. He respected people and in turn the people respected him . He worked very hard and played even harder! He is and always will be remembered as a very generous and loyal friend. A true legend.
I have many fond memories of Pops over many decades. He will always be remembered as someone who lived life to the fullest. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Anyone who ever met Gary knew he was larger-than-life, a guy whose gruff exterior was matched by his giant heart, genuineness and hearty laugh. I loved the guy like a grandfather. I'll never forget the countless memories made with him at The Moose Lodge - from Liar's Dice tournaments to him reigning Matt and I in while we created chaos cooking Sunday brunch. - Pat (1 of the 2 "Twins")
