Fred was such a kind man. He always had a smile on his face and made you feel special. When you talked with him...you knew he was really listening and genuinely cared about what you had to say. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.

Fred was my closet friend and an excellent brother-in
.law. Our family
will miss him and me especially for our weekly get togethers.
I watched Fred over the past ten years or so, and more than anything he inspired me as a parent. Fred did everything for his wonderful daughter Emily and they shared a very close bond. He faced so much adversity in the loss of his wife, then the loss of his mobility, but he never lost his sparkle and he did everything he could to make things easier for Emily and the boys. What a guy!
Fred
I met you via DRF Blog back in 2006...and we started our own email group on 11/11/09....we shared TONS of information over the years and I was glad at least to speak to you a few months ago over the phone....please take care in the after life and have peace....
Fred was such a kind thoughtful person. But most of all he was a wonderful father to Emily. He also loved his grandchildren and was such a good Grandpa. He was also very brave. He faced his problems with a smile and made everyone around him happy.
May he Rest In Peace
It has been a long time since I last saw Fred or as I called him, Mr Johnstone. What always struck me about him was the sparkle in his eye when he looked at Emily, he always saw the best in her. He was a happy family man who made everyone feel welcomed. He was a wonderful person.
