We have so many memories: Doug and Robin Fan. Ancient Greece, Rome, Florence, and Africa. Now we have Espresso Talk Today. It won't be the same without you. I hope that it will be great. And all because of you. I miss you, big brother. I miss your smile and laughter. We are still moving up. I love you. I miss you. I know that you are still helping me. Thank you!

Mellanese, Robin, Jonas and Ben, Doug loved all of you deeply and I know you will always love him. He spoke so happily about the great times he spent in Kona and traveling the world with you. So glad to see you have a picture of Yonas & Doug scuba diving as he loved those trips. I met Doug over 30 years ago at a movie premier and we've been friends ever since. Last saw him Summer 2018.

We knew you were special when you were born. There are too many memories to share. I remember when you were 3 years old, I picked you up at nursery school and you were teaching the kids their ABC's. I was surprised and so proud. Throughout your life, you continued to teach others. You will always be with me in my heart where you have always been. Your Mama.

It was always a pleasure to talk as we very soon found common ground on various topics like plans to meet on Hawaii for golf-round or coming together in Brussels. Following your commments on your history-blog was quite inspiring. We miss you so much!

Doug - my friend, brother in law and diving buddy. We shared unique and amazing aquatic experiences! Other worlds and dimensions, depths and mysteries - explored and discovered. You watched and guarded for me, as I did for you. Thank you! The sun in my face, the wind on your back. There is more to explore, but I will miss you!

The world needs more people like Doug.  He will be a missed soul in Seattle where we became
friends. But I imagine he will be fully embracing life beyond earth and would want us all to live fully with a positive outlook.
Thanks, Doug, for some great talks, walks and a few good meals shared. I always felt uplifted afterward.

This comes to a sad shock to me.  Doug and I enjoyed elementary and middle schools together in Richmond, CA.  My brother, Antoine, & Robin teamed against Doug & I often @ recess.  He was loved and will be missed.  Our deepest love and condolences to the family.  God’s blessings & sincerely, Toni Wilson Greene & Antoine Wilson  ??????

Hi Doug,

Happy birthday, big brother. You would have been 58 rains today. I miss you so much. It is so great that we share July 30th as a birthday. You always knew how to do birthdays in a big way. And you showed me how to celebrate myself big too. Thank you. I love you. Celebrate!

We have so many great birthday memories! Great cakes from Neldams Bakery in Oakland. Great lunch at Tommy Bahamas on the Big Island. Walking along the coast in Pacific Grove. You always gave me the perfect birthday card--and, yes, I still have all of them. Thank you!  I always felt so privileged to share a birthday with you. I still honor that privilege. I love you, Doug.  Happy birthday!

I am saddened to hear of Doug’s passing. I looked him up today to make a Medicare legal referral. I met Doug shortly after law school. He was a lovely man and great friend. He was very proud of the City of Benicia! I think of him every time I pass through.  Doug had a heart of gold and I know he is on to a better place. Rest in Heaven Doug. Gone way too soon!

Doug,
We became friends over 40 years ago as students at Cal. I will never forget your enthusiasm, kindness, passion and intelligence. We shared many great debates and laughs. I appreciated your thoughtfulness and compassion. Although we did not keep in touch over the years, you have always been and will forever be a great friend.

How is it possible that it is nearly five years since Doug passed away here in Seattle. I miss the friendship that we had made for about a year. The simple things shared as new friends. A connection through CSL and through both having California origins. Wish he weren't taken from his earthly life so soon. A great loss to all who knew him. God bless you, Doug! And God Bless your family

Hi Uncle Doug. Everyday I think about you and the brilliant memories we shared. Sometimes I forget how much I miss you, because, in my mind, we speak everyday. Thank you for always challenging my thinking and encouraging my curiosity. You always believed in, and taught me, so much. I know that you are smiling down on all of us. Don't worry, we're smiling back.
