I have so many memories of Freddie! From bubble fish in his pocket after we were at the pet shop to his obsession with putting my cat in the freezer!! Always making us laugh! He is now hanging out with my mom...his "big Mama" and she is with her "Freddie boy" !  Rest in peace Freddie! Love you!! niecey.   you are the only one that ever called me that!

From the moment we met Fred in 1980 he became an instant part of our family, even living with us for awhile when I was about 11.  After a night out, he offered to pay me a penny a minute not to talk! I only lasted 9 minutes! From camping in upper park to dying Easter eggs every year the memories are endless! He will forever have a piece of my heart! I love you! Your "Mississippi Queen"

To me Fred was a man always moving. Christa and I would be hanging out in the backyard and there was Fred feeding his pigeons, listening to the As on the radio, picking strawberries, he just didn't sit still. A favorite memory is listening to Motown music on a Saturday night in the backyard and the three of us dancing. Rest in peace, Fred. Love you

The times I was able to spend with Fred were larger than life; he was the brightest of sparks. I admire his confidence, passion, outgoing friendship and all that he achieved in life and love. I will forever appreciate that I had the pleasure of knowing him and I only wish that time would have allowed me to know him better.

When we think of Fred, we think of a kind and gentle man with a glint in his eyes and a smile on his face.  He always brought joy with him -- and that incredible sense of humor.  Lou describes Fred as full of energy, fun and easy to be around and full of fun.  Our grandson loved Fred and appreciated his loyalty to the A's and his knowledge of baseball.  Fred, you will be so missed.

Missing you so much.  You shared and gave so much to everyone you knew and cared about.

Fred was one of my best friends' Dad, but he was much more than that. In high school, when interacting with your friends parents could be awkward, the Davis' were easy to be with. I spoke to him on a number of occasions and greatly respected his warmth and wisdom. There's not space to sufficiently describe his impact on my life, but he certainly did have one and he will be sorely missed.
