Frank was my partner for Japan Nuclear Services & mentor for me more than 15 years in 1980~1990. He was always kind, gentle & patient despite of big culture gap among USA & Japan. Frank and I became fast friends in engineering classes after starting at Santa Clara in1954. He always had a good word and smile for everyone he met. Having left all my old friends in San Diego for this new life as a college student, I needed new friends fast. He included me into his family and eased my transition to my new surroundings. A friend like that was invaluable to me at the time.
