I had Mr. Hickey as a music teacher in junior high in 1973. Junior high is often a difficult adjustment for kids, and I remember him as a kind, patient teacher. He sparked a love of music in me, and today, nearly 40 years later, I still enjoy playing guitar. God bless and R.I.P.

Mr. Hickey was a wonderful teacher, and a great person.  He showed up at our reunion at the Lokai a few years back. Had seen him at Owen and Ollie's,  told him of it, and sure enough he came!! R.I.P.
He was an inspiration to so many.  Family should be very proud.
