Florence was a treasure. She was a friend that was so kind and loving. We met as volunteers at Kaiser and shared many years together as surgical liaisons. She took such loving care of me when my husband was terminally ill. My daughter and son adored her even if they didn't see her very often. I'm sorry that the virus put a stop to our visits at the end of her life. Ruth Black
A beautiful, kind and humorous woman. I always felt welcome in her home and, even more importantly, listened to. No matter what she was doing she would always stop, sit down and simply listen to me. Throughout our years of friendship, I always called her "Mrs. Matsushita," never "Florence." My respect for her was simply to great to allow me to do that! Good bye my friend, and thank you.
