I just happened to see this obituary of Findlay.  Findlay and I sat together in a UAF class titled, Minerals and Man. It was the early 1970's. The instructor was Dr. Ernie Wolff.  I remember Findlay well.  He would come into the 8:00 am class with his long hair and a sparkle in his eye. Even -50 degrees did not deter his good nature.  RIP, friend.

Fondly I remember Findlay.  He was my classmate and friend.  Whenever we met up, he expressed his happiness to see me and I would reply in kind.  He was a kind sole and loyal friend.  No better could be thought of, or spoken!
