I was completely bereft when I heard of Evelyn's death.  She has been a good friend to me even after her move an entire continent away.  I think of her as a dear confidante, a comforter, and a companion in adventure, whether close to home or abroad.  We shared a love of reading, of good talk, and of travel.  We also shared a faith.  I cannot express how much I will miss her.
