This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Eugene "Tom"/"Tommy" Grimes, Jr., 66, born in 1953 and passed away on July 27th, 2019. A loving father to 5 girls ( Amber, Melissa, Kelle Grace, Tori, Sara), doting grandfather to 9 ( Brandon, Zachary, Preston, Madeleigh, Archer, Xander, Zion, Sarai, Prince), amazing partner ( Sherry) and loyal friend. He will be missed by so many.
Some of the things I think I will miss the most is riding in the car and listening to a song and being asked or asking" what movie is this from" Also, quoting lines from a movie and asking"what movie is this from". I just said the other day, how I feel sorry for all the spouses, Robert Byrd, Sherry L. Hughes, and Jason Goswick because they are CONSTANTLY bombarded with this question.
There was no better man than Tommy. He filled everyone he new with love and kindness After only sharing our love for a few years, we were going to travel and grow old together. Not sure how to go on after loosing my love. Pray for me that I can find comfort in know he’s no longer suffering and living his new eternal life??????
I guess this site makes it real. I'm having a hard time accepting this. Tommy was one of a kind...so kind hearted, so family oriented, the best friend anyone could ask for. I've had the privilege to know him and the special person he was since grade school. He brought all that to my friend Sherry & I'm so thankful for not only the time they had together, but the time I called him friend.
Tommy was one of the nicest guys in high school. I am very sad to hear of his passing, and while his children and grandchildren don't know me, I can say that they have had a great loss. My prayers go out to them, that they may be comforted at this difficult time.
And to Sherry - I am so sorry for your loss of a love in whom you had many hopes; how tough that must be!
Tom was the brother I never had. The void I feel will never be replaced. We shared every important life milestone. Weddings, birth of our children, family vacations, grandchildren, and the death of our parents. The four of us, Tom, Sherry, and Janet had so much fun. Lunches at wineries that turned into 3 hours, dinners that went on and on. You are greatly missed. Love you brother.
Can't believe it's been 3 years, Tom. You are greatly missed. The void just can't be filled. Say hi to Stu & Linny for me & save me a seat. Until we meet again....RIP brother.
Happy Birthday my friend. Can't believe it's almost been 7 years. Still miss all of the great times we had. RIP Tom. Until we meet again, love you brother.
