Dr. Mr. Jordan or Ernie as I became to know you as time moved on. I have so much respect for both you and Tessie and how much you Gave to those in need. What I remember Our John boat Tiny Chugger Acquire my oar locks Fishing in Powhatan the time I got beat up and Mr Jordan made things right Mr Jordan building his back porch and his perfect Christmas Tree
Tessie I am so sorry. You and Ernie were a very special part of my life. Ernie meant so much to so many. So many wonderful memories.
Mr. Jordan was my elementary school English teacher in the early 1970s at Robious Elementary School. I remember him being a very kind and creative teacher. He taught us a little song about "helping verbs" that I still recall some of today at age 54. I credit Mr. Jordan for helping me build a strong foundation in English that I am still using today as I teach ESL to young students.
Tessie, sending you lots of love and prayers.
Tessie, we were saddened to learn of Ernie's passing. We are sorry, too, it has been awhile since we have seen you both. We will miss the fun times we had in Highland County with you both. Please know we care and share your loss.
With love,
Bob and Joan Crummette

Mrs. Jordan, I hope you are able to see the many tributes from your husband's former students at Robious Middle school on facebook. He was loved by all. He helped my son after school and after several sessions, my son came out and said, "He really cares about me."
Mrs Jordan, Many of us are singing today in memory of our 7th grade English teacher, Mr. Jordan. "To the tune of Jingle Bells". Have has had, be am is, are was were been being, shall will should would do does did, must can may might could.. God speed Uncle Ernie!
We were so sorry to learn of Ernie's death and it reminded of of happy times
spent visiting with you in the greenhouses. You were a very special couple and you are in our thoughts.
I still have my copy of Watership Down from 7th grade, worn from many rereadings. From learning Lapine, to vocab buzz boards to sobering connections with the Holocaust, Mr. Jordan brought the book to life. His kindness, his long and detailed jokes, and his appreciation of kids in our most awkward stage of life touched so many of us. His influence will ripple out for years to come.
Tessie I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Ernie. He was one of a kind. He always made me laugh. I remember decorating the Christmas tree with tons of ornaments at your Highland home. Ernie and I always loved picking on each other. I have lots of fond memories of Ernie that I will always cherish. Tessie you are in my thoughts and prayers. With deepest sympathy and love, Marla ???
I taught with Ernie at Robious Junior High. It was my first teaching job and we opened a new school. Even though we were in different departments, he taught me a lot about being a good teacher. I didn't receive a Christmas card this year and my card was returned to me. I am truly saddened. I know we all have great memories. Tessie, you are in my prayers.
